Dr. Nita Davis recently was appointed assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and serves as a pediatric critical care physician at USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital.
Dr. Davis earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica. She completed her residency training in pediatrics followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. She also completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Davis is board-certified in pediatric critical care medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a diplomate in general pediatrics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
