Dr. Eugene Lammers, University of South Alabama College of Medicine alum and adjunct clinical professor of medicine at the USA College of Medicine, recently was named 2018 Clinician of the Year by the American Geriatrics Society (AGS).
A 1982 graduate of the USA College of Medicine, Dr. Lammers serves as medical director and primary care physician at Mercy Life of Alabama. He is part of an interdisciplinary team caring for 175 older adults and has pioneered innovated approaches to geriatric care. He has worked ardently to ensure that all members of his health care teams are fully empowered and able to embrace their roles in promoting health and independence of older people.
