The next Distinguished Scientist Seminar at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine will be presented by Dr. Julian Solway, the Walter L. Palmer Distinguished Service Professor in the division of pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Chicago.
His lecture, titled “How Breathing Antagonizes Bronchoconstriction,” will take place March 22, 2012, at 4 p.m. in the Medical Sciences Building auditorium on USA's main campus.
Dr. Solway’s research interest involves the molecular mechanisms underlying airway constrictor hyperresponsiveness in asthma.
Dr. Solway is a member of the Committee on Molecular Medicine/MPMMM, Committee of Clinical & Translational Science, and Committee on Cell Physiology.
