USA College of Medicine Prepares for LCME Accreditation Visit

In preparation for next month's official accreditation visit from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the University of South Alabama College of Medicine will welcome the mock site survey team Sept. 23-25, in the first-floor conference room of the Strada Patient Care Center.

The official LCME survey visit will take place Oct. 21-24.

Medical education programs leading to a medical degree in the United States and Canada are accredited by LCME, a peer-reviewed process of quality assurance that determines whether the medical education program meets established standards. Programs undergo accreditation on an eight-year cycle.
