Dr. Elias Chalhub was recently appointed professor of neurology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Chalhub was in private practice in Mobile, Ala.
Dr. Elias Chalhub earned his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He completed his internship at the University of North Carolina at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. He then completed a National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) special fellow in pediatrics, clinical neurology and child neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.
Dr. Chalhub is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Neurology, President’s Association, Child Neurology Society, liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics, Southern Child Neurology Society, Southern Society of Pediatric Research, Southern EEG Society, American Association on Mental Deficiency, American Association, Central Society of Neurologic Research, Medical Society of Mobile County, Muscular Dystrophy Association and National Association for Retarded Citizens.
