The University of South Alabama Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology will be hosting its 21st annual conference April 12-13, 2012, at the Daphne Civic Center at 2603 Highway 98 in Daphne, Ala.
Guest speakers and topics include: “Labor and Delivery Safety Programs” by Dr. Thomas J. Garite, professor emeritus at the University of California Irvine College of Medicine; “Junk Science in Obstetrics and Gynecology” by Dr. Brian K. Iriye, subspecialist in maternal-fetal medicine at the Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine in Las Vegas; “Long-Acting Reversible Contraception in Adolescents” by Dr. Elizabeth Lorde-Rollins, assistant professor of the obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics department at Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in New York; and “Medical Missions” by Dr. Betty Ruth Speir, retired obstetrician/gynecologist in Point Clear, Ala.
